Save and Splerge

I swear, that's what I'm best at doing. Summer of '09, I think it was, so the summer after my Freshman year of High School, I got myself my first ever job through my mother. I cleaned a daycare center at night. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean toilets. It was right old fun. But it brought in money, so I did it for those three months, nearly every day.

I got myself another job now, but I haven't been paid yet. Pay day is this Friday. I'm rather excited to have money in my pocket, but I know it won't last for long. While I'm not so excited about Christmas myself, my family celebrates it, so I'll hitch along for ... however long I spend those days with them. Perhaps I'll come home from college during the holiday, in which case more Christmas cheer I shall endure. Joy. But that's beside the point. The real point is that my first paycheck--which will probably be my largest--will be spent primarily on Christmas presents for my family. At least, my mother and my youngest brother. I have no idea what to get my father or other brother. And I know something I'll get for my aunt as well, which means I gotta find something semi-serious for my uncle. For the first time ever.

The next few paychecks will probably be paying back debts to my mother and father. I owe my mom twenty dollars for loaning me money on black Friday (never again, btw--don't do it). I owe my dad about a hundred dollars for rabbit stuff, and solely rabbit stuff. I got a tattooer, new hutches, and three new rabbits. Only one of which I plan to keep.

After that, I might be saving money to buy the truck off of my dad, despite the fact that it's falling apart. It's a year 2003 F-150, and I flippin' love it. The horsepower is amazing. XD Call me an adrenaline junkie if you wish, but that would be the wrong term.

And then, only then, will I start stashing away the bills for a rainy day. I was able to stretch about six hundred dollars over the span of three years. Quite a few chunks of that sum went to buying presents for family and whatnot. I don't spend a lot of money, in general.
