The Week

My grandma and grandpa came down on Monday of last week. My grandma had to have her spleen removed, and was taken to UofM on Tuesday for that to happen. The surgery was successful.

On Wednesday my grandpa drove me over to Waterford, and there we picked up my cousins, Nicole and Travis. Together, Joe, them and I had a blast! I won't go into details, because I just can't remember anything beyond a few days.

But, there is one game that we played that I need to remember. Friday night, the night before they left our house, we all dressed for night games. I wore black socks, black shoes, black pants, and an overly large (my signature style--not really--is shirts that are too big for me, so they're baggy) black shirt. I left behind my purple baseball camp. Anyway, equiped for a game of hide-and-seek, we set out for the weeds. At first, we were just walkin' and talkin', but after a while, I just randomly ran away. Travis was hot on my heels, but I poured on my speed (I'm proud to say I'm way faster than Travis) and ran through the weeds. But, since it was dark and foggy none of the others could find me. While they kept straying further and further from my hiding spot, I suddenly jumped up and ran away again. After a while I migrated over to an apple tree where Plum Trail and South Trail tee, and I started muching on an apple. I overheard the other three give themselves names, and I decided I needed a name, too: Bugs. Bugs, because I was eating apples like Bugs Bunny eats carrots. I stayed hidden from everyone for over an hour, basically by staying in the corner of our property. After a while, though, I ran into Joe. He called out to the others, but I quickly shushed him before they heard their RedLeader. I turned RedLeader into my handy friend, Lib, short for Libra. The only reason I gave myself away was because I sort of got bored being the one running away from everyone. But that fog! Ohmygosh! It was such a fun game.

Anyway . . . yup. Yesterday my family went to a wedding, and I didn't even want to go. Before the DJ even set up and started playing music, I wanted to go. We didn't end up leaving 'till around eleven, and I had my dad pretty much ticked off. So apparently I got grounded.

Henry called this morning, even before I got up. I called him back and we pretty much set up a date, to go see G-Force. I asked Dad about it, and that's when I learned I'm basically grounded. That freaking idiot who's so self-centered that he doesn't even care about anyone else! I swear, he even told me himself! Well, that's where I get my stubbornness from. Yeah, so I had to cancel the date with Henry.

Well, I'm pretty much ticked. Our sound doesn't work for the computer (for reasons I can't figure out why) so I can't listen to music or anything. I'm in a bad, angry mood. I'm sick of it, and I just want my dad to come around and see reason. Otherwise I'm just going to keep meeting him and challenging him, my father or not! I will not stand for this. He's just a big bully . . . that's got power over me by being my dad . . . but still! I will let no bully win over me. Besides, someone's got to advocate for my mom, who gave up years ago against him. That would be ME!

Hey! I just got the sound to work! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! One bright side on my sucky weekend! *dances*
