Last night, after talking to Henry, I was excited, but exhausted. I went into my room short after typing up the last journal and read the rest of the chapter I was on and another one in the book I'm reading. I tried to go to bed not long after midnight. But I tossed and turned 'till about two in the morning, when I opened my window. I thought that if I did that, as I normally always do, I'd be able to sleep better to the crickets and whatnot.
I think I fell to sleep around two thirty to three in the morning. It sucked.
And then my mom woke me up around ten thirty, saying I slept in pretty long. Blah. I didn't think so. I mean, I couldn't fall alseep!
So not long after that Mom and Joe went grocery shopping. I was left behind with Ben. Ben was a good kid, all in all, but he did give me a poopy diaper. Dang kid.
I've been waiting ever since. Around one thirty, I told my mom I was going bike riding. It was very eventful. Hehe.
So I left my helmet behind, because I just didn't want to waste my time digging for it. I went down to the end of the driveway and immediately made my first choice. There was one of those construction vehicles that come down dirt roads to smooth them out. I forgot what they're really called. My brain's on blank right now. But I pulled out in front of that, and when I passed the bend in the road I saw where he wasn't smoothing anymore, so I was safe. The only thing, after the place he stopped loosening the gravel, the rivets began. I mostly avoided them 'till I got to the hill, but I saw a boxer before I got there. For some reason that's one of my favorite dogs.
When I went down the hill, right near where it ended the rivets got really bad. I almost thought I was going head over heels. Also, my bike slowed right down. I made it to the railroad tracks fine, though. And then I heard a train. So I waited for it, even though it was just an AmTrack. Trains are still cool, though.
I headed back home, getting slowed by the unavoidable rivets in the road, and almost couldn't make it back up the hill, since I absolutely refuse to switch gears--that's cheating. On the way back I saw the boxer again, and I ran into my neighbor, Madison and her dog, Bell. I waved to Madison and said "hi" to the dog, and I continued. Not far after a truck fishtailed around the bend, and I was forced (because the dude scared me) to the side of the road, even though it was muddy there. I'm not gettin' changed.
He passed, and then I was back to the gravely part of the road, and then Henry called, saying he was just leaving his house. The conversation didn't even last 15 seconds. I was then up the driveway and into home.
Yeah, so now I'm just waiting for Henry, in the basement, avoiding most of the heat, because it's, well, hot. I sweating everywhere, as I normally am. Blah. But I'm not changing. Even though my shirt's too small (you're a pervert, Henry!). I didn't do it for him.
*Puff* Yup. So I better go.
