Wet

Garsh. It's been a while since I last posted, eh? It didn't feel like that long, honestly. I mean, I put it off a couple days because I've been dog tired again, or something else popped up, or something. Something? Something! Yeah, something. My mind's, like, all over the place. 'Cause I'm tired, I think. And I'm not even sure if I make any sense right now. Bad head! Bad! Dobby? Oh dear, that's, like, my hundreth Harry Potter reference of the day. You could tell I've been reading those books lately.

And speaking of books, I need to get my hands on the Sally Lockheart series again or the Poison Studies series. Both have at least one of my top ten favorite characters, which I'm afraid to change, even though there are a ton of characters I absolutely love now. Gambit, Nightcrawler, Vancha, Donny, Thrax, they all stay. But the characters from Justice League, those two books, well, I'm not so sure. I mean, I found out I like Snape. He's cool. Longshot's been on the list of my maybe favorite characters for a while, as has Spike and Oz (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Spidey.

But anyway. I'll start with Friday. Which was pretty easy, if I'm talking field hockey. And I don't remember anything else, because I'm terrible at remembering most aspects of the day. I got to sleep in a half hour, and because the Varsity had pictures in the middle of our practice, it was pretty much shortened. I mean, we practice corners and we shot on Sara, but that's about it. And I stand by what I said: Sara's an awesome goalie. And she's cool. 'Cept when she's in a bad mood, like she was today.

So while Friday was alright, Saturday kinda sucked. I didn't get to sleep in that day. Much the opposite. I woke up at ten to five because somehow my alarm clock got set ahead an hour, but I fixed it after coming upstairs and discovering the true time and tried to sleep for another hour, but I don't think I got much anything more. So my alarm went off again at ten to six, I ate a quick breakfast, threw on my scort (I have absolutely no idea how to spell it), jersey and just threw my shin guards, socks and cleats into my bag. Slipped on some flip-flops, got into the truck, and met the rest of the team at the turf a little before seven o'clock. There I got into the rest of my uniform and got ready with the rest of the team.

We had an hour to jog around the field, warm up our sticks and stuff before we had to get on the field to face half of my team's old team: The Whippets. I played for most of the time, taking up my normal post at high right defense, Leah backing me up. And the hour that we played them, with the ten minute half-time, no one got a goal. So we tied our first game zero to zero. Exciting, huh?

So then we waited around for the second game, first following the JV to a far-off field. They went on the field to play a game with a team Varsity got stuck with later that day while Varsity went off in a circle and chatted about what we did well in our game and what we needed to work on. I think about ten minutes in it started raining, and I was one of the very, very few people who didn't have anything besides my jersey to keep my "dry."

We didn't get very far into our talk when Coach came up to us and told us to go back toward the field that we played on and wait under the bleachers. So we trekked up there again, the team split up, and we didn't finish our talk 'till about an hour later, I think. I don't know, I didn't have my watch on. We're not allowed to have any jewelry, watches, earrings, nothing. And I hate not being able to wear my watch. I think my most obvious tan-line is where my watch normally is. I mean, I do have a tan patch where my shorts and socks don't cover my legs, but that's about the only major tan-lines I have.

And I can't believe my Internet connection keeps cutting me out every few seconds. It's been doing this to me all day. *curses it*

So then after getting soaked for a while, since it didn't stop raining from the time it started 'till the beginning of our seconds, and through it as well, we started our second game. This was against a good division four team, methinks. I was on field a lot, still, but when I was pulled out a couple times, the other team got two goals on us. Fortunately, Emily got a goal on them as well, so our loss wasn't that bad. It was our first goal as a team playing another.

After that loss we retreated to the two tents that the team had, snackaged and got even more wet. At some point Dad left the field after being there all day, handed me a warm, awesome, loveable towel (actually, it wasn't that awesome until that day; it's always been in the way before, not to mention considered gross) and left to get the rest of the family. I have to admit, it was cold and miserable, but we did get some good team bonding time in. Thirty girls being stuck under two small tents all day. Wee!

Four o'clock, now, Varsity got on the field again, and this time we played the JV team. Coach told us over and over again that we needed to mercy them, blah blah blah. I mean, we're a Varsity team, they're a JV. Coach was quite affronted that we even got paired that day. So we played the game, the first half Coach and Sara's moods were falling, and at half time we got yelled at the whole time. Then we played the second half, we ended up winning four to zero, and I think half of those points we won in the first half. Still, Coach was not happy. Megan, the coach's daughter Megan, was hiding behind the rest of us to avoid her father looking at her, because she knew that he wasn't too happy, and I think the rain finally stopped while we stood around listening to what Coach Craig and Keeley had to say. We finally got our cheer in, and we were set home.

So after standing in the rain all day, I still had to take a shower. I was tired of water. And I think, even though I was dog-tired, I stayed up 'till ten o'clock, getting re-acquainted with X-Men: Fallen Apart. I kind of feel bad for neglecting that site so much. Although I'm kind of doing the same thing with the New Nation. It's kind of weird, though, that when I come back to FA, then everyone else does, too. Not kind of weird, really weird. If I really get into a role play, I think I really get into it, and become a very, very important member of it. *shrug* What do I know?

Anyway, Sunday we went off to Billy's apartment and swam in freezing cold water. Well, I wasn't in there much. When I was, though, my cousins were clinging on me because they couldn't touch the bottom, and I could, and they didn't have floaty thingies. Yeah. Ethan tried to be Wolverine again, failed. Y'know, every time we get together, we always role play. Even a long time ago. A couple years ago it was TMNT. Before that it was, like, Spot and Splash (they called it Scratch or Rainbow--don't ask) or Werewolves (aw, man, that was so fourth grade--hee, Patrick [again, don't ask]). Funny that I was always Fang when we played werewolves. And the leader of the pack. Hehe. Oh--I forgot our little magic school, which was more elemental, with a few other classes as well. That was a big one for a while. But yeah, we always do something along those lines. I think the werewolves was the most brutal, though. No, Save the Princess is, but we never play that because how to play is too controversial. I'm still asked how to play it, though. I mean, I do have the Chronicles of the Box short stories with that realm all the time. I love that realm.

But, yeah. We had to go home early on Sunday so I could catch a ride to the field hockey practice I had today. I called Sara first, but she said she was taking Leah there, and couldn't take me. So then I called Sara (a different Sara, on the JV team), but she didn't answer. Getting a little worried, I called Jessica, but she said that her dad was taking her to his work to get her there, so she couldn't bring me. So then I called Olivia, and after a while she said her mother could bring me there. And she did. So I have to give Olivia a huge ol' hug tomorrow; she saved me.

Then today I got up semi-early, waited at the end of the driveway for a long time, 'cause Olivia's mom got lost down Dancer a while, but we still go to practice on time. And although it was three hours long, it wasn't that bad. I grew as a defense-man by leaps and bounds today. I found out I don't play a good bottom defense, though. I was also pulled to the JV for a little bit, because they were "short," and I yelled at them the whole time. Their offense was strong, though, 'cause the ball was rarely by our side. But still, they were doing so many things that Varsity just doesn't do. It was the best I've talked on the field, ever.

Got home later, was the only one home. So I talked very loudly to myself almost the whole time. Nothing new there. Ate lunch at about two, got together (online) with Wolvie again, after not talking to her in forever. Overall, it's been a cool day. I think I even get to sleep in tomorrow. I'll have to check the calender. Oh, yeah--I don't have to be at the field until three-ish! Aw, man. No alarm to wake me up. Boo-yah!

So I got my journal up. Coolio? Ja, ich denke. :) I read so many comics today, too. I started on X-Men #13 and I finished on #18. Five may not seem like a lot, but I got some comics uploaded as well. And I'm tired.

I wish I could remember a good Song of the Day I had a while ago. Like, Saturday or something.
