So lemme start with today, I guess. I'll just write this as a normal journal. First with my day, and then whatever wandering thoughts I have, and maybe some added history. It's been a while since I've had a journal like that. Well, at least most of my journals have a point to them, which is more than some people can say.
Ack. It's still snowing! Oh, speaking of which. We DID have a snowday Monday. And that's where I'll start. Yeah. Not much to say 'bout it, though.
The morning of the snow day, about five thirty in the morning, my mom came into my room and told me we had a snow day, switch off my alarm. Still being half asleep, the only thing I could say was "how?" over and over again, with, like, nothing in between. Yeah, I'm smart that way. So I did turn off the alarm, and went back to sleep. Getting up and looking out the basement doors, I understood how. Over the night it snowed, like, seven inches, and it was still snowing. And packy! When I took Ben out while Mom was going to work, I started building a snow fort by piling snow into a big pile, since the snow was too deep to roll snowballs, even a giant one as my mom keeps talking about in her childhood. Once I felt it was big enough, I started digging a hole through it. That actually made me sore for almost the whole week. Geesh. And that was pretty much my Monday.
So today now, I guess. So when's it start gettin' interesting? Well, we watched one of the weirdest movies today in Astronomy, about quantum physics, but I decided to read instead. There's no possible way that that could be on our exam next week. Which I need to ace, since I'm almost getting a B in that class. So close! And it'd still be closer if Mr. Kimmey finds the "missing" worksheet I handed into him. 'Cept I haven't been able to tell him about it, 'cause he hasn't been in school for the past two days. Blah.
Uhm . . . and then in History, instead of first doing a powerpoint, and then an assignment, we did a movie first, then a powerpoint, and then we were given homework. It's like, no way! Oh dear Air, did I really say that? Ack . . . yes, yes I did. That reminds me, I know sky in German, but not air. I've been saying Lieber Himmel instead of . . . Air. Oh, I'm an idiot. It's Luft. Like in 99 Luftbaloons. *facepalm* Lieber Luft? Okay, I can do that.
And then in Biology, I finished up what I was doing the day before, and then I read the rest of the hour. And finished the book I have been reading for the past two weeks, Watership Down. For those of you who can stand older books, and therefore words that have become obsolete, and weird punctuation, then that's a great book for you! Keep in mind, there are fight scenes, since it is wild rabbits it's about. But I liked it, and I still can't figure out why everyone says it's such a terrible book. Perhaps because they read it in fifth grade, when their minds were still fragile. *snickers*
I had lunch with Alyssa today, and Erik decided to have his eyes covered all during lunch, which was interesting. And then Jake was a little more rambunctious than usual. *cringes* But it was fun, 'cause Alyssa was there.
English was kind of a bore, though. We had to sit through a bunch of presentations about India from everyone, and Chase and I weren't even able to go, because, for one, Friedman was there, and he's in our group, and for two, the class ran out of time. *thanks the Air* Art was pretty much the same. We were doing presentations yesterday as well, and Sloan was the only one who made their presentation funny. Today . . . no one's was funny. Speakin' of Art, I'm gonna have to put my painting on dA soon, and figure out when I'm getting my wolf painting back, which, I guess, was entered into some art thingy by Autumn. I should feel special, like Sloan does ('cause his raccoon was entered as well), but I just want my wolf back.
Since I had gone to my locker and grabbed my coat before the class, I was just able to leave the room without stopping at my locker and wait for the stairwell to fill up with my friends. I'm so happy, though! Henry and I are friends again, almost like we've never gone out before (I dunno if I've said this already, but I don't care), so it's awesome. I missed being able to talk to him and stuff. He was, like, my closest friend, along with Alyssa, and I just . . . missed that. I just wish that we never have gone out with each other, 'cause that'd make things that much easier. Ah well. We're good, and I'm happy.
Yesterday I took a picture of myself holding my hanbo, and I digitally drew over it, like I have been doing as one of my new forms of art. I like it, personally, just 'cause. Oh! I could put it on here! Hehe. Getting it . . . getting it.
And, that's about it. This weekend I want to finish rewriting Ninja Woods, 'cause I can't stand the first draft, and I also want to draw on my big paper a picture of Kifu and Leonard together. I will get a good picture out of it! I must! 'Cause . . . it's both of them. I wuv them.
Oh--and for those of you who paint, make sure you never, ever mix craft paint with acrylic. In fact, if you paint pictures, don't buy craft paint. I made that mistake today. *looks over at canvas in corner of room* It ain't so pretty. I'm gonna have t' fix it. Somehow. *shivers* That'll be some work.
