Geek

I realize that when I look back and take the majority of what I posted so far this year that most of it is X-Men. Or at least relate to X-Men in some way. Yeah, sure, I do have my new little style of digital art, and I have thrown in a couple wolves and two anthroesque animals, but other than that it's X-Men or X-Men related. Let's just say X-Men, 'cause it's shorter and easier that way, ja?

So . . . I gotta get away from my little X-Men mood, even if I DID go to a comic book store, spending an hour just looking at the books there. I dug through all those little boxes, concentrating on finding the Uncanny X-Men #153, 'cause so far it's hands down my favorite issue. I mean, who can't resist those little Bamfs? And then Kurt's and Logan's reactions to how Kitty portrayed their personalities in the story! Downright awesome. I wuv Kurt. And Gambit. I would have bought the Classic Gambit comic book book, too, but since it was almost thirty bucks, I didn't. I did, however, buy the Essential X-Men graphic novel #3, which does have the 153rd issue, mostly 'cause the store had issues 150 and 154, but no 153. I also looked around for the Nightcrawler comics, but didn't find ANY, and I did find a concentration of Deadpool comics, and I grabbed one. Dead teddy bear on the cover, Deadpool holding it. Pure awesomeness. I also would have gotten TMNT, but there weren't any, but I did buy the first Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book. They didn't have the first graphic novel. Oh! I was listing my favorite X-Men, was I not? So Kurt and Remy and Piotr and Sean (Banshee) and Warren. Top five favorite, but I also like Kitty and Rogue. Wolvie's cool. But I don't understand everyone's obsession over him. You have any idea how much Spiderman was in that store? Enough to compete with all the Wolverine! Surprisingly, JLA wasn't that popular in there.

Right . . . I just totally ranted there.

But anyway, there were these guys in the back, who I assumed were working there or something, and they kept throwing out these random words. I heard a kid Superman or something a couple times. Never liked that guy. But they were playing some complex game, probably not much unlike the TMNT board game my brother has.

And can you believe how much the first, giant-sized Uncanny X-Men costs? I think the cheaper one they had there was like a hundred fifty bucks or something, because it was yellowed. I was afraid to open up the comic book package the Deadpool came in. I mean, someone might yell at me. But it was only like three dollars, and I don't expect to gain anything but my Deadpool knowledge, so . . . I opened it. There. Yell at me.

Deadpool's skinny. >.<

Right. So. I like comic book stores, I guess. My mom, I think, didn't like it so much. But seriously, MARVEL, I think, has way too many different X-Mens. There's just so many series!

But I'm done. Seriously. I'll keep ranting if I'm left to it.
