Yeah. I'm 99% sure of two things. I'll get to the second one last just for the sake of suspense . . . and chronology. The first one has to do with NaNoWriMo. The national goal for NaNo is 50,000 words. After a while I told myself I'd just be happy with a fifth of that. With it being the last day of NaNo, and I still stuck at 8,000 some words, I don't see it happenin'. At least I was able to get a few chapters of Zodiac Tribes done.
So last week only had two days of school. I ended the first trimester with four A's and one C (so I ddin't fail my English class) and started up the second tri. Astronomy's awesome, methinks. I'm pretty sure it's going to be fun. History sounds okay, especially compared to Konnet's class. At least Stahl gives a kajillion opportunities for extra credit and she sounds like a cool teacher. Biology's gonna suck 'cause I've got Mr. Rafail. He . . . just doesn't teach very well. On the bright side, though, we'll be learning genetics and heredity. World Lit's gonna be okay, too, 'cause Jenna and Friedman are in that class. Besides, Livingstone is a wee crazy, but she's cool. Lastly, I actually got Foundations of Art, which is awesome. I find the teacher awesome and I love making art. All in all, this tri's cool so far.
Wednesday we went up to my grandma's. Preama wasn't there yet, or her stupid little dogs, but the rest of them were. I just realized that Preama came to our thanksgiving, but Kirk didn't go her family's. What a jerk.
Anyway, Madelyn, Ethan, Joe and I made up a new game. It's pretty much just role playing. And surprisingly I didn't play Nightcrawler all the time. I was him, sure, but I was also Hawkgirl, Flash, J'onn and Gambit. I fail at a Cajun accent. But every time I did play Kurt, everyone kept commenting that my voice was weird.
I gotta break and change Ben's butt. . . .
Back.
Right. So my dad and I went hunting in the morning twice and at night . . . *counts* four times? In those six periods of say, four, five hours, we each saw two deer. All were running, all too far for us to shoot. Hell. I'd say I saw more squirrels than those four deer that we saw. And the last time we hunted I was so cold I was . . . freezing. My hands hurt. Oh! And the first morning we hunted we were both getting a little restless and I stuck my head out the window for some reason and my hat fell off. I have no idea why it made me laugh so hard. Gee, it just made me laugh now, and I'm in a bad mood.
On Sunday we were at home already, and I was excited 'cause I thought that Wolverine and the X-Men was supposed to be on like all day. Whenever I got up it wasn't and I swear that when I looked on the guide they moved the marathon to Monday. So I went shopping with Mom, 'cause I apparently needed clothes. Sadly, she made me buy shoes that I have to wear. I admit, my three year-old Nike's were falling apart. I was living, though!
Anyway, we got back home and at one point I flipped the TV onto Nickelodian. Guess what was on. Guess. Yeah, that's right: Wolverine and the X-Men. So I don't even have to tell you what I did 'till eleven, eleven thirty at night. I forget which.
Over the break on Thanksgiving (Black Friday, actually) there was a nice sale on laptops. If Billy's Internet worked, I bet I probably would have gotten a laptop. I was talkin' to Emily on the bus, sayin' I'd still probably could buy a laptop. Gettin' home, I hopped onto the computer and started searching. The two I found that I liked are both $299. I want the Gateway more, but definitely could settle on the HP. So when Dad got home I asked him if I could get it. He's pretty firm on his not-a-no-kinda-no. Me mom seemed fine wit' it. I guess I probably should just extend my why-I-should-get-a-laptop-list and convince him. But . . . that's the other 99% thing. Ya know, I was so excited and all, couldn't wait until he got home . . . and then his denial hurt. I was sure he was okay with me getting one. I mean, I'd be completely buying the whole thing myself.
Oh, and that's why I'm in a bad mood.
