I had a dream last night. That alone isn't odd, because I know that I dream; I never remember my dreams. This one, however, is different. I remember some of the details, and it ended up freaking me out near the end. Even though I highly doubt that that was really the end of the dream.
I don't really remember how it started. I just really remember the middle, and especially the revealing factor near the end. This whole dream was like a mystery, and I could only figure it out piece by piece. I remember that I eventually hunted down my mom's camera to take pictures, knowing that her camera would be able to deal with motion blur better than my own. It was a logical decision, thought out during my dream.
There were these attackers around our house. It was overcast, a little dark. I don't really remember what part of the day it was exactly, but I'd guess in the evening over anything else. It got darker and darker throughout the dream. The clouds became heavier and more threatening, but it never rained. It was just a menacing environment, despite the fact that it was my backyard.
I forget all of the characters involved. I used my mom's camera, I was in our house and looking out the windows, and then there were the skyward attackers.
These attackers, they kept swarming the house. Every time they flew over our roof, they grew in numbers. First it was one of them, which caught my attention. Then there were two of them a few minutes later. The third pass, I think there were about five. It was at this time that I ran to my parents' room and grabbed my mom's camera. I needed pictures so I could figure out what these attackers were.
Whatever they were, they had wings. I thought that they looked humanoid as they flew past, but it was too grungy outside and they were too fast for me to figure that out with the naked eye.
I snapped a lot of pictures of these things as they flew past, but I never got to the point in my dream where I would look back at the camera and figure that out. By the time I thought up of it, I think my mom had come into my room and told me that I need to help them with putting up the pool or something. I don't really remember, because I had told myself that it wasn't worth it putting up the pool this late in the summer.
Then, when the swarm grew thicker over the house, one of them fell in the little yard we have around the back patio. It fell hard, shattering into pieces. Apparently the things were made out of stone. I looked out the window, trying to figure out what it was, snapping pictures because the video was too small and we wouldn't be able to make anything out. I don't think that's actually true, but it was something someone told me in the duration of the dream. I took a lot of pictures to compensate. I don't know why I was the one taking pictures.
The pieces eventually welded back together, forming a deer-like figure with wings. It swung its head around to look at the house, then launched itself back into the sky to follow its compadres.
That's all I really remember from it, but I remember it was really getting to me by the end of the dream. Thinking back, I don't really know why. I wish I could dream interpret it, but there are so many factors to it, I don't even know where to start.
So ... yeah. I have freaky dreams.
