Time Is Only Relative

Yes, I admit that I haven't written a journal in a long--very long--time. The last one was on the 11th of April. I didn't mean to put it off for so long, but every time I wanted to write something down, I didn't feel like spending half an hour to type it up. Or I didn't feel like carrying a partially written journal with me around school. So maybe I am lazy. Apparently laziness overrides my want to write down what I currently think for amusement later on and a nice little chronological play-by-play of my life.

Over the past month so much has happened, I don't know where to start. I know that I'll miss more than a few things, for certain. So perhaps I should write down a little map again and refer back to it. Eventually other topics will pop up. A man should simply keep me on track enough and assure that I get as much down as possible. Heck, since this is originally written down rather than typed up, I'll be able to physically check things off if I feel like it.

Where to begin, then? Jake and prom tomorrow is a nice little topic. Brushing up on that's probably a good idea. I could also write about how I'm beating myself to turn in a job application, but keeping it tauntingly unfinished. Books. The New Nation, X-Men: Fallen Apart, Ultimate X-Men Evolution. How my art's going. Spring. Maybe stick mention of Midge in there. School ... German. Dana's graduation. Game nights. X-Men cosplay. And my geek squad.

Uh, yeah. Funny how reading over it is less painful than when I was trying to get it down.

Let me start with art. I have absolutely no idea on what I was doing during the time of last journal, but I do know what I'm doing--or not doing--now. Scott's still bugging me about that not-so-commission piece that he asked for. Which is fine. If he doesn't bug me, I'll probably never do it. So I decided that I need to finish it by the end of the month. Time's tickin'. Only thing is, the guy keeps changing his mind about what he wants. *snorts* Thankfully my idea falls in the vicinity of those suggestions, and my plan hasn't changed since he first approached me. He shall be pleasantly surprised! Or so's the hope. At least I don't have to worry about him being concerned or not about his money's worth.

I'm also still working on the Gambit/Neko picture. I haven't had it open in Gimp for a while, but it's been on my mind. I think it's his face that's turning me off of doing it. It's ... a pain in the butt. I have his torso done, though.

Besides Trent and the Gambit/Neko, I don't really have any big projects. I have yet to finish the Nightcrawler painting, but I have to completely repaint his hand. And I've also been drawing chibis everywhere now. Ever since the comic I had to draw for German, I've been unable to stop. And I even made a new comic auf Duetsch just for the fun of it. Weird thing is, though, that I can only figure out how to make it funny (for me, anyway), when I write it in German.

(To be continued another time)
